This Privacy Policy describes how Sankhya Ventures LLC ("Sankhya", "we", "us", or "our"), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with the Sankhya Farms website, web and mobile applications, dashboards, application programming interfaces, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, including by signing in with a third-party identity provider such as Google, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide to us

• Account and identity information. When you create an account or sign in using Google, we receive limited profile information from your identity provider — typically your name, email address, language preference, and profile identifier. We use this to authenticate you and to administer your account. We do not request or receive your Google password, and we do not access your Google contacts, files, calendar, or other Google services beyond the basic profile and email scopes you approve on the consent screen.
• Communications. Information you provide when you contact us, request access, respond to a survey, or otherwise correspond with us.
• Operational inputs. Records you create within the Services, such as orchard, zone, and tree configurations; irrigation, fertigation, and intervention logs; notes; and uploaded images.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Sensor and telemetry data. Measurements transmitted by your monitoring nodes and sensors — for example soil moisture, electrical conductivity, pH, temperature, humidity, nutrient indices, device voltage, signal strength, and timestamps — together with the configuration and status of your devices.
• Usage and device data. Information about how you interact with the Services, including pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, and diagnostic and log data.
• Cookies and similar technologies. We and our analytics providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand how the Services are used. See Section 7.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• to provide, maintain, secure, and operate the Services, including authenticating users and delivering sensor data to your account;
• to generate the analytics, recommendations, confidence scores, and other insights that are the core function of the Services;
• to develop, test, and improve the Services and our underlying models and algorithms, including by learning from how soil and trees respond to interventions across the platform;
• to communicate with you about your account, security, updates, and support;
• to monitor, prevent, detect, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
• to comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements; and
• for other purposes for which we provide specific notice or obtain your consent.

2.1 Aggregated and de-identified data

A central benefit of the Services is that the platform becomes more useful as it learns. Accordingly, we may aggregate, combine, and de-identify information — including sensor and telemetry data and usage data — so that it no longer identifies you or any individual, and we may use and retain such aggregated or de-identified information for any lawful purpose. This includes operating and improving the Services, training and refining our agronomic models, conducting research and analytics, developing new features and benchmarks, and otherwise improving outcomes for our users generally. Where we use information in this way, we take reasonable measures designed to prevent re-identification, and we do not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

• Service providers. We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf and under contract — for example cloud infrastructure and content delivery (such as Cloudflare), payment processing (such as Stripe), identity and authentication (such as Google), and analytics providers. They may use information only to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information where we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sankhya, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
• With your direction. We share information with third parties when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

5. International Data Transfers

We operate globally, and information may be processed in, transferred to, and stored in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfil the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the context. Aggregated or de-identified information, which does not identify you, may be retained indefinitely.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand usage of the Services; Google may set cookies and process data in accordance with its own policies. We may also use a Meta pixel to measure the effectiveness of our communications. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through provider opt-out tools. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information: to access it; to correct or update it; to delete it; to obtain a portable copy; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain US states (such as California) may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights.

9. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, and alteration, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and professional users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 (or the age defined by applicable local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may link to or interoperate with third-party websites, hardware, and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
