At a glance

The SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 is a 7-in-1 RS-485 soil probe reporting moisture, temperature, EC, pH, N-P-K, salinity and TDS over Modbus-RTU on RS-485 at 4800 bps, 8N1, on DC 4.5–30 V. This guide documents 27 registers, default Modbus address 1. It is register-compatible with the ZTS-3001-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01, which the same firmware profile reads unchanged. Sankhya firmware profile: ZTS_7in1.

Broad telemetry without hiding the verification boundary

Sankhya Farms has a profile for the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 register family and can place its reported moisture, temperature, EC, pH, nutrient, salinity and TDS fields in the free cloud dashboard. The wide register map is useful because one RS-485 address can supply a compact monitoring record, but this model carries a lower verification score than the fully confirmed ZTS-3001 map. N-P-K behaviour should be checked against the exact manual and a known sample before those fields are treated as live agronomic measurements.

For moisture, temperature, EC and pH observation, the same dashboard can serve an orchard, greenhouse, container trial, home garden or media-grown crop. It can also act as a logging surface during bench testing: power the sensor, inspect each returned word, and compare the decoded value with a reference instrument. This is often more useful than a one-off serial-terminal printout because changes and intermittent faults remain visible. For hydroponic reservoirs or water treatment, choose liquid-rated probes even when the desired pH or EC parameter has the same name.

Use with care: Sankhya can transport and label every documented field, but software compatibility is not a substitute for confirming what the physical sensing element actually measures. Compare the fully documented ZTS-3001 7-in-1.

How do I look up a field in the SN-3002 response?

The primary family begins at 0000H: moisture, signed temperature, EC and pH occupy the first four defined addresses; N, P and K are listed at 0004H0006H; salinity and TDS are 0007H and 0008H. The remaining documented words include conversion, calibration and configuration values and should not be displayed as live measurements. Sankhya maps by address and meaning, not by simply charting every returned integer.

Why is this page cautious about N-P-K?
Closely named ZTS and SN variants use different nutrient behaviours, including writable temporary fields and genuine read-only probe values. Confirming the exact revision avoids presenting a stored number as a new sensor reading.
Can the other fields still be useful?
Yes. Moisture, temperature, EC and pH histories remain useful for observation and comparison when the corresponding register map and calibration have been verified.

Inherited map. SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 is register-compatible with the ZTS-3001-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 and shares its layout. The table below is that confirmed map. SN-3002 is the 7-parameter variant of SN-3001. Given SN-3001 is confirmed identical to ZTS family, SN-3002 almost certainly maps to ZTS_7in1 profile. Verify NPK caveat applies.

Notes & caveats

SN-3002 is the 7-parameter variant of SN-3001. Given SN-3001 is confirmed identical to ZTS family, SN-3002 almost certainly maps to ZTS_7in1 profile. Verify NPK caveat applies.

Common questions

What baud rate does the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 use by default?
4800 bps, 8N1. It is a Modbus-RTU slave; default address 1.
What supply voltage does the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 need?
DC 4.5–30 V (≤ 0.5 W (24 V DC)).
How do I change the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 Modbus address?
Write the device-address register with function code 0x06, one device on the bus at a time, then power-cycle. See the Configuration section above.
Is the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 compatible with the Sankhya platform?
Yes — it is in the Sankhya RS-485 sensor library and the firmware-generation pipeline can produce node firmware for it.
Is the SN-3002-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 the same as the ZTS-3001-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01?
They are register-compatible, not identical products. Both expose the same parameter set and the same Modbus register map, and Sankhya reads both with the ZTS_7in1 firmware profile. The ZTS-3001-TR-ECTHNPKPH-N01 is specified at DC 5–30 V against DC 4.5–30 V here. Housing, cable gland and probe material can differ between vendors, so check the electrical specs above before substituting one for the other.
