In this video, I'll show you how to order the Sankhya Farms control board from JLCPCB. We'll use the free AI ordering assistant on sankhyafarms.com to check each screen, verify your settings, and catch mistakes before you place the order.
0:19 Open Hardware page and production-package download
Now, open sankhyafarms.com and select Open Hardware from the top right menu. On the Open Hardware page, click Order with the Assistant. Scroll down through the panel on the left until you see the download button, then download the board production package. Once the zip file has finished downloading, extract it into a new folder. Inside you should see the three files needed for ordering: the BOM file, the Gerber files, and the Pick and Place file.

Next, open jlcpcb.com in a new tab and click Order Now. Under Add Gerber File, upload the Gerber zip you just extracted.

Scroll down and enable PCB Assembly. Choose Standard Assembly, and under Assembly Side, select Both Sides. We also recommend setting Confirm Parts Placement to Yes.

Before continuing, take screenshots of your selections and paste them into the Sankhya Farms assistant's prompt box. You can also ask the assistant about any setting you are unsure of.
2:08 Reviewing the generated PCB
Once the assistant confirms that everything is correct, return to JLCPCB and click Next. You'll now see the PCB populated from the Gerber files. From this point onward, we recommend taking screenshots of every screen and confirming each step with the assistant before proceeding. The assistant is designed to verify all important settings and will ask you to provide screenshots or PDF uploads where needed.

Next, open the Bill of Materials tab and upload the remaining two files from the extracted folder: the BOM file and the Pick and Place file.

On the next screen, you'll see all the components populated. Visually check that every part is selected. If any component is not selected, select it manually. There should be only one exception. Look for the part marked DNP in the second column. DNP means Do Not Place, so that part should remain unselected.

At this stage, we strongly recommend confirming all component placements with the assistant before proceeding. Some parts may be out of stock, and JLCPCB may automatically substitute alternatives. Upload screenshots of the parts list and placement screen so the assistant can verify that every component and substitution is suitable for the board.
3:38 DNP warning and placement review
Once all the parts have been confirmed, click Next. You may see a warning because one component is intentionally marked DNP, or Do Not Place. This is expected, so select Do Not Place to continue. On the next screen, you'll see the components placed according to the uploaded BOM and Pick and Place files.
4:02 Downloading the placement image and final AI verification
Click Download Image, then upload that image to the assistant so it can visually verify every component placement. Follow the assistant's instructions carefully, as it will guide you through each board specification that should be checked before you proceed.
4:19 90%+ confidence check and payment
If everything has been completed correctly, the assistant will show a green confidence score above 90 and confirm that your order is ready for payment. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out on [email protected].
Files referenced in the video
- Gerber zip — manufacturing files for the bare board (upload the inner zip).
- BOM CSV — every component with quantity, reference designators and LCSC part number.
- Pick and Place / CPL CSV — X/Y position, rotation and layer for each part.
